Chocolate fondue is a delicious dessert that’s fancy enough for holidays, Valentine’s Day, or as an alternative to cake for a special occasion. But it’s simple enough to have any time of the year. Read on to learn how to make chocolate fondue and surprise your family tonight!
Heat cream in a double boiler over a medium heat. When cream starts to bubble, turn it very low and add chopped chocolate and stir until all the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Serve with fresh fruit or chunks of pound cake...or whatever else you can think of! (My favorite are strawberries and banana slices.) Happy dipping!
Notes
If the fondue is too thin, add some more chocolate. If it is too thick, add more WARM cream to the mixture. The cream must be warm - if it's cold, the chocolate will "break."
