Chocolate Fondue

Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit This is so easy. Even if you don't have a fondue pot or a double boiler, you can improvise by placing a slightly smaller pot over a larger pot filled with hot water.
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: French
Author: Cynthia

  • 1 cup of chopped chocolate semi-sweet, dark or milk whatever your preference.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Heat cream in a double boiler over a medium heat. When cream starts to bubble, turn it very low and add chopped chocolate and stir until all the chocolate is melted and smooth. If it's too thin, add some more chocolate. If it is too thick, add more WARM cream to the mixture. The cream must be warm...if it's cold, the chocolate will "break".
  • Serve with fresh fruit or chunks of pound cake...or whatever else you can think of! (My favorite are strawberries and banana slices. Happy dipping!
