Chocolate Fondue for 8

Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit This is so easy. Even if you don't have a fondue pot or a double boiler, you can improvise by placing a slightly smaller pot over a larger pot filled with hot water. Nutritional information is based on 8 servings and for the amount of fruit listed. Serving amounts and fruit will vary.

  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1 banana sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple cubed
  • 1 kiwi sliced
  • 1 tangerine sections

  • Heat cream in a double boiler over a medium heat. When cream starts to bubble, turn it very low and add chopped chocolate and stir until all the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Serve with fresh fruit or chunks of pound cake...or whatever else you can think of! (My favorite are strawberries and banana slices. Happy dipping!
  • If it's too thin, add some more chocolate. If it is too thick, add more WARM cream to the mixture. The cream must be warm...if it's cold, the chocolate will "break".
